The 2026 NTT IndyCar Series season has been full of change on and off the track. The biggest driver headline was Will Power leaving Team Penske after 17 seasons to join Andretti Global, a genuine shock in a paddock where Power and Penske had become almost synonymous.
The series also welcomed fresh talent and familiar faces from around the racing world. Former Formula 1 driver Mick Schumacher lined up with Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing, while Romain Grosjean returned to IndyCar with Dale Coyne Racing. Alex Palou, meanwhile, entered the year as the dominant force to beat after his recent run of championships and Indianapolis 500 success.
The calendar got a shake-up as well, with Phoenix Raceway returning to the schedule and a new Arlington street circuit joining the mix. Off track, Fox Corporation’s investment in IndyCar’s parent company signaled a new era of visibility for American open-wheel racing.
